    I liked the episode a lot more than you did but then I grew up with the "hero" going after the alien babe but it was rarely meant to be, Kirk sorta thing as mentioned by McKay. The backstory to the Ancients accession as covered in SG1 also allowed the episode not too worry to much about how Chaya existed and the restrictions on her actions :)
